I ate these Chengdu dumplings a few nights ago and can't stop thinking about them. Cost about 3 dollars. Shanghai's food scene is pretty amazing when you get away from the tourist traps.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who finds it really moving. That section where the narrator recalls the last time he spoke to his mother really got to me when I recently re-read it. Also, final section when he watches Sonny play -- simply amazing!

We talked for over an hour last night about book 1, Dawn, and agreed it was one of the wildest and also thought provoking sci fi novels either of us had read. We also recorded the conversation, I'll put on YT soon.

I really liked it, the pacing and artwork are spot on, makes a verbose Lovecraft story thrilling and even more horrifying than the original.
I also really enjoyed it, have you read Tanabe's manga of At The Mountains of Madness?
