Due to the forced diagonal-down perspective in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, a trick is employed whereby Mario actually walks faster towards/away from the camera than alongside the camera to create the illusion of smooth movement from that angle in particular.

doing some searching, it looks like there isn’t a way to do this within Polycam, so remeshing might be your best bet if you don’t want to use Cinema 4D or Blender

I haven’t personally used Polycam, but I imagine a better workflow would be to make a separate, more human-legible UV layout and then bake the texture to that

I feel like the 320x240 resolution of MegaMan Legends 1/2 was essential to its aesthetic, and trying to aim for higher resolutions is why modern indie interpretations of its perfect artstyle rarely hit the same for me
