Tonight I had the opportunity to smell the elusive and forbidden smell. It was awful, and so awesome. One of Dartmouth's corpse flowers bloomed unexpectedly and I was able to visit.

I have a friend who teaches and openly advocates for LGBTQ+ students in this district. Having multiple friends turn up in the news in one week is wild for me. I'm thinking if it feels like they're coming for LGBTQ+ organizers and the most vulnerable members of our demographic, it's because they are.
It brought me so much joy! In a time when I was very numb and struggling to feel anything at all, it brought all the big emotions. It is absolutely brilliant, and I will say so forever.
I've got to share this one without saying too much, but I've said before, the teachers in the DoD schools (who work for the federal government and Congress is their school board) are the canaries in our coal mine. And the NYT was cautious about how much they shared to protect the teachers that spoke
Death threats super suck but they're going to happen if you take a certain kind of principled action. We've had them for WRJ Pride, and had to get a terrorism rider on our event insurance last year after our drag queen story hour was shut down due to bomb threats. But we're organizing for year six!
