Whereas, open source ai models have nothing to lose by keep pushing forward, and everything to lose by moving slow.
Because with open source, the metric is the community. It's not about war, but network effect.
I think open source ai has more incentive to ship, compared to proprietary ai.
Proprietary AI companies are in a prisoner's dilemma type situation where they all wait for each other to release first, so they can strike back. For them this is a war.
Man this voice cloning tutorial is so good, he did all kinds of experiments with both F5-TTS and Fish Audio (2 of the SOTA open source voice cloning AI models right now). I myself learned a lot. A huge fan of this channel. www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_pu...
thank you! hope somebody writes a library or even a minimal app for this!
i wonder if it's possible to publish an entire website using the bluesky protocol
You think prompt engineers will change the world? Well, 99% of the prompt engineers will be AI.
oh my god just experienced magic
really cool, does the protocol also let you repost a post from another blog post? also, can you post a video here and then "repost" the video by embedding it in a blog post, and they would be all connected?
why ai "video" is exciting
anyone trying to squat usernames on this app doesn't get it.
i have no idea how this works but totally support
future is now
please do it for walrus
wrote a minimal tool for extracting workflow from any comfyui generated image. can even bulk extract by drag and dropping multiple images cocktailpeanut.github.io/comfymeta/
bsky feature idea: decentralized org badge
when you authenticate with your own domain, display the domain favicon just like this X verified orgs feature, but in a totally decentralized manner cc: @pfrazee.com @jay.bsky.team
very cool that an account can even have zero published post yet prove identity bsky.app/profile/cock...
what LTX nightmares are made of
bsky is pronounced broski
There is exactly one post from this account, yet we can be certain that this is from steam. Something really refreshing about this. Trust is highly valuable.
one thing that's cool about this platform is the decentralized identity system---i don't have to rely on centralized notarization (aka blue checkmarks) to know this is actually from steam. i can imagine all the official accounts will use their own domain.
notational velocity ftw
unlike what most people think, windows 365 link doesn't compete with mac mini.
it competes with apple private cloud compute.

the decades-long alliance between hardware and software companies (intel/nvidia vs. microsoft/apple) is over, thanks to ai. not only are their interests unaligned, but they are directly opposed.
i think this app needs a bookmarks feature
