Yes but part of how they confuse people is making them so skeptical that they don't trust anything. That kind of sets people up to go for the most simplistic "common sense" answer to everything, which is what Republican specialize in.

Happily married Michigander. Former starry eyed liberal turned old cynic. I swear a lot. No DMs unless we know each other. πΊπ¦ Most of you arenβt the mind readers you think you are. Not everything wrong in the world is due to a plot or conspiracy.

Part of his point anyway.
And I promised myself I wouldn't block people anymore.
Yep. And even if he hadn't, it doesn't guarantee a Democratic victory. Too many people either had overly rosy memories of Trump's first term OR didn't realize it went as well as it did in spite of his policies and not because of them.
Do you have the numbers to prove that? It's not enough just to say X number voted against her for that unless you also know how many people would have voted against her if they thought she wasn't supporting Israel enough.
Making people skeptical certainly has worked for the Republicans.
It would be interesting to see if it did that or if, for once, Democrats decided to pull together quickly instead of arguing about it forever (interesting, but probably not worth the risk).
The Harris campaign performed well, as far as campaigns go, in that she was multiple points closer in the swing states the campaign focused on, and had a smaller loss than most of the world's incumbent parties.
There wasn't One Weird Trick she didn't do, nor One Big Mistake that cost it all. Sorry.
I think they won't go out of their way to insult people about it. I
Someday it'd be nice to see an audience just sit there and stare at him, instead of the handful of laughs that he always gets.

That tracks. He only tried to start a fight in the middle of a hearing. So much more even tempered than that emotional girlie.

I don't remember how long we've been seeing cider in bars now, but I do remember trying it about 12 years ago when I was trying to go gluten-free. (Turns out the cider bothered me more than beer, so that went out the window, but I liked it). #NotAloneTalk
Pretty good. Late to the chat as usual. I noticed the time at 2:50, then got involved in other BlueSky stuff. #NotAloneTalk
A lot of internet-poisoned people read understated as "having a hidden meaning, almost certainly one that makes me mad."
And you're too smart to be manipulated into reading the article. Got it.
Earlier this week, Idaho became the latest state to push back against the U.S. Department of Justiceβs campaign to seize the private voter data of every state. www.democracydocket.com/analysis/eve...
Ooh, very smart. Taking normal Lenten fasting and making it every day. Nice.
Sounds like a great thing to work on.
Yes! That's what intelligence is. But do you want the person who's achieved a lot but already maxxed out their potential running the government, or do you want someone with a whole lot of ability to learn and apply the lessons quickly?
To use your example, there will, among bible scholars, be people for whom it comes easily, and those who have to struggle. Other things being equal, the one for whom it's easier will learn more.
but there are still going to be people who are above or below average at most of the subtypes, thus being more or less intelligent overall.
We're talking about native intelligence, though, which is somewhat measurable (imperfectly, to be sure). It's probably more accurate to break it down into specific types (as most intelligence tests do),

a lot *of surgery.
For this to work, insurance is going to have to pay for a lot surgery to repair bitten-through tongues. ;-)
Abolish is only at 52% for independents so far, so how many votes it gets depends on how important the issue is to people, and what is proposed to take the place of ICE.
Maybe, but 1) Schumer is Senate and 2) We're hoping to get something done before January. If there's no reform soon, it might strengthen the abolish sentiment both in Congress and with voters.
