Is she on steroids? I'm blanking on the name of the one they commonly give ill dogs, but one of our corgis was on it as part of her cancer treatment and tried to eat dishwasher pods because they came in the same sort of pouch as dog treats.

That needleminder is amazing! I am - big surprise - still working on this Tiny Modernist dragon. Getting close though!
Facebook post by Nekima Levy Armstrong: "Friends, A Breaking News headline just appeared in the Star Tribune, claiming that the national Target boycott ended today. This is false. The writer of the story, Carson Hartzog, is fully aware that the Target boycott was launched in Minneapolis on February 1, 2025. I have spoken to her several times since then, yet she failed to reach out to me, Jaylani Hussein, or Monique Cullars Doty, the three founders of the national Target boycott for the story. Carson even used the photo from our press conference that includes my daughter, Assata Joy and Ms. Rosemary Nevils, an elder in our community, to try to add legitimacy to a bogus story. I am once again disgusted by the Star Tribune and their attempts to minimize and erase the voices of our community. The nationwide Target Boycott is not over, unless and until Target reverses its decision to rollback Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, as we said from the beginning. βPastorβ Jamal Bryant does not speak for us or our community and has zero authority to end the nationwide boycott of Target, a company that is headquartered in Minneapolis. Please donβt believe the hype and these attempts to rescue Target from the effects of capitulating to the Trump Administration. Target rolled back DEI because of Donald Trump. They donated $1 million to the Trump/Vance inauguration committee. Target also allowed ICE to stage in its parking lots during Operation Metro Surge. The nationwide boycott of Target is successful and it will continue. Please continue to shop elsewhere."
Nekima on the Target boycott.
Looking down into a golden, glittery cocktail.
Dry citrus vermouth! Made with the peels of 9 citrus fruits. I ended up doing a 2:1 reverse martini with barrel aged gin and grapefruit rosemary glitter bitters.
I've been really quiet on here ever since joining a bookish app, so just in case I haven't retweeted things to make it clear:
I'm strongly against war with Iran.
I'm strongly against book bans.
Trans rights always.
Cheers! I've been enjoying your content ever since I first followed you, so I was happy to finally try one of your recipes. I really appreciate how you come up with unique recipes rather than just, like, making a standard daiquiri and calling it Ecdytoxin.
It is not anywhere near 73 here, but I do have gin, and honey syrup and lemons... tempted! But I should probably make something with my homemade vermouth instead.

Two cocktails in coupe glasses flanking a hardback copy of The Works of Vermin by Hiron Ennes.
Made a drink from @eliaseells.bsky.social for the first time tonight! The Extemporist slaps, as does the book that inspired it.
Transphobia is a cancer of the heart and mind.
It is a useless fear, based on ignorance and cruelty.
Trans people are not responsible for a single one of the problems we face.
Do the world a favor and grow the fuck up.
Hot take: donβt hate-read books. One wild and precious life, and you want to spend it mad? DNF and go find something you like.
This International Women's Day, please remember that trans women are women. Full stop. No qualifiers.
British Columbia is switching their clocks for the last time this Sunday.
There's a lot going on in the world right now, but there is NO reason to not make daylight saving time permanent.
Congress should pass my bill to finally lock the clock.
Thanks! It's so fun to work on. The pattern is by Tiny Modernist :)

I love getting these notifications when I have signed up for a class. There's nothing to track! Nothing is shipping! Leave me alone!
New rule: if your book has a significant section about your cancer diagnosis and treatment, it should have to be mentioned in the description.

Mine is currently staring at my in accusation because she can't remember the last time I ever gave her a french fry.

I resisted hand-dyed fabric for a while, trying to keep costs down on this new hobby, but I just love the extra visual texture it creates. I'm still working on this dragon, on fabric from BeStitchMe.
If that man has chiseled abs he probably spends hours in the gym and maintains a very specific diet. Don't expect me to believe he gets that way because he jogs for half an hour a day.
Thank you, the responses to this have been entertaining me all day, and giving me food for thought as well!
Negative hot take: The bar for male love interests in straight romance is so low it's in the earth's molten core. Oh wow, he remembered your birthday? Even a Discord bot can manage that.
Positive hot take: I love when an MC has a cool job and we get to see them doing and loving that job.
Oh hell yeah give me a queer romance in a historic utopian commune. I would eat that up so fast.
Honestly this is one reason why I am on a long break from straight romance, I could not take one more 6'2" guy that the FMC goes on about as if he was like, Shaq tall.
Just added City of Others and An Accident of Dragons to my TBR! I am also really digging the colors of this stack. A nice contrast to the grey skies outside my office window at the moment.
I just backed JANUARY on @kickstarter.com www.kickstarter.com/projects/shi...
I'm so sorry! Keeping you in my thoughts.
