Yeah, and this thread doesn't even go into how TenkoBerry was essentially botting their followers. I saw them spam-following those follow-for-follow "Blue Wave" accounts and watched it over a day. They followed about (I think) 4k people in under 24 hours, and then later unfollowed them all.

Strange as in... I guess judgemental. "Oh no" or "here we go again" or "who let him have that?"

The booze cruise incident. Though only closed off in one "canon" for him, Specchio is inebriated against his will on a little side journey and his teammates think he just spent all of their money on booze out of irresponsibility.

They now give him strange looks whenever he has anything alcoholic.

Insofar his only baby step forwards is just barely being able to tolerate being around cigarettes or lighters, since many people in the gang lifestyle like to smoke. He gets openly cross with anyone who smokes around him and still gets nauseous at the smell.

Specchio is a pyrophobe! He lost both of his parents in a house fire that almost consumed him as well (leaving him with very bad burns that were later healed).

As for how he copes? Not well. He usually shuts down and disassociates if there's no way to get away from an open flame.

In Specchio's original story, his "ending" is that he manages to break into an alternative but similar timeline in order to save the lives of the people he loves most, at the cost of losing the memories of his former timeline.

By the time everyone is saved, he doesn't remember them any more.

I imagine this fades out as he gets older (and potentially loses out on his youthful, puppy-dog eyed looks) but for the time being I don't think he even considers it a "problem", more just a useful tool. He is a criminal, after all.

I think one of the most problematic traits I've given Specchio (beyond unhealthy codependency) is his tendency to lie and manipulate his way out of situations with crocodile tears. He sees this as a way of taking power over his own shortcomings (being seen as weak, childish, or helpless).
