I saw a similar situation play out with my mother. My sister bore the brunt of care. My mom's world shrank to family only.
In the end, she couldn't care for herself, fell, broke her leg, and never recovered physically or mentally.
I don't have kids. 😳
We took our dogs to the rehab facility when my dad was there. So many faces lit up when we walked in their rooms. Broke my ❤️ in a way.
