This feels desperate. They haven't had a new hit show in 15 years since Bob's Burgers so they're doubling down on Family Guy again.

Start listening to podcasts without famous people in them, I promise you they're better!! I don't even have a podcast, you can take this as unbiased advice!!
An even bigger fan than the guys who bought those direct to video Hanna Barbera WWE movies.
Like a superhero's name.

You used to be able to make advertising executive a sexy movie job. But I'm not sure that can work today when the standard for advertising for major companies has fallen to hiring someone on Fiverr to take a phone selfie cam video.
this, but also i recently hired an a/v guy to help me make short hi-fi videos of my process in the studio and yeah i picked up a few followers/likes but in the end it felt like i was working for ig/tt feeding their feed and it degraded the quality of my work because i was *performing* it
it sucked!
I once interviewed for a full time job where the PTO structure was that over the course of one year you accumulate 5 days off, sick and personal combined. Last year I had to spend that much just because my car needed repairs. Ridiculous society.
You have to work five days a week to make a living. But also there's a bunch of errands you need to do, some of which are legal requirements. But also those places are only open when you're supposed to be at work. But a lot of people aren't allowed to take that time off.
Had to make another doctor's appointment for a minor thing. I have it pretty good as far as PTO goes but this just reinforces how most people aren't as lucky and it's insane society expects them to be functional human beings in this system.

In the communities for AI music and writing they keep saying that mainstream music and books are already using AI but hiding it out of fear of backlash. They don't have any proof or examples, but they think that the programs are so useful that they *must* be using them.
Pornhub's banned in like half the country by now. It has to have affected their bottom line by now. I don't know what they're waiting for.
If you want a really good animated movie about jazz, watch Blue Giant, soundtrack composed by jazz pianist Hiromi Uehara.

To be fair, you could also make this criticism about Sinners with Ludwig GΓΆransso. But on the other hand he just plain did a better job on that movie than Reznor did on Soul so π€·
I should write/record something about Soul because I keep thinking about it.
In a movie that wants to appear as a celebration of black New York jazz, why is the score not done by a black New York jazz musician? Why is it Trent Reznor?
Well Joe straight up asks her why she sounds like a white lady.
Even beyond woo woo, there's so many people in government and media who treat him like he's the first person in the world to ever figure out that junk food is bad for you, therefore we should hear him out no matter what crazy things he says/does.
drawing I did for fun based on a cover from a 1948 Fritzi Ritz comic
Leslie and Brianne are at a gas station. Leslie, in rabid-poster mode, exclaims "I'm so angry!! I have so many opinions on other people's opinions of the new Pixar movie!!" Leslie, going to town on some Fresh Gasoline, replies "You need to drink more gasoline. It makes all my thoughts and opinions melt away!" But then she sees the price of gas and freaks out- it's "A Lot!"
this @keithstack.com comic is both 4 years old and topical again which is giving me low-grade anxiety
watching a random movie on netflix: unpleasant, disappointing
watching a random movie on tubi: extraordinary, a blessing
Haven't seen the show but this reminds me of my thoughts during the Andrew Tate panic. Everyone was talking about online content when they should've been asking how these boys' fathers spoke about women.
In the abstract I agree that ideally people shouldn't shoplift if they don't have to. But it's like #2,000 on my list of societal ills and I've seen way too many people using this "anti-social/low-trust" language advocate for vigilante violence all the way up to running over shoplifters with cars.
This picture is what I mean when I feel like people who think AI is good are subliterate. Because this is the most bland, generic time-wasting dialog I have ever seen in a video game. But we're supposed to be impressed.
I bought this a few years ago on @spacetwinks.bsky.social 's recommendation. All-time favorite. Go get it now.
True redemption doesnβt usually involve an increase in power and influence for those redeemed, and we should be wary of those who try to gain those privileges from a pose of repentance.
