Journalist and sometimes publicist. Lover of a lie down. ‘This is just rubbish, isn't it? Lazy, boring, pointless rubbish.’ Guardian commenter 2007. ‘It’s not all about you, old woman,’ Daily Mail commenter 2024. Www.lindaaitchison.co.uk

After a beautiful time in Rouen last year with friends, I added it to a round-up of three lovely places to visit in the spring @andyfittes66.bsky.social
It has taken six years for my lovely partner to agree I could write about him and include his name and photo, so I did…how we met after dismal dating disasters…🤦🏻♀️
Word of the day is ‘forswunk’ (13th century): exhausted by work.
I like to add ‘foreswunk’, exhausted before you even begin.
URGENTLY seeking #marketing news for tomorrow. Please send me all your press releases tonight on new appointments/campaigns/research. hazeldavis@gmail.com Thank you!
Have you heard of Oddfellows? I’m a social organiser for this national organisation in the Black Country, helping over 60s meet, chat, have a laugh and make new friends. Had a blast at our Wolverhampton Christmas party. Definitely need a lie down.
Exciting 🤩
Almost 40 years ago I visited the Scotsman’s as I was an interpreter for a trade unionist from Russia on a tour speaking to striking emergency workers. It always makes me smile if my work pops up there, delighted to have contributed this about such a wonderful woman www.scotsman.com/community/an...
Away from the packed scramble of the Christmas markets in Prague, a quiet morning stroll through Letná Park. Perfect.🇨🇿💕 #loveprague
Looking to talk to #supercommuters - those who commute 90+ mins each way to and from work. Any method - car, plane, train, etc.

Sent out a #journorequest and the inevitable "I can't help with your very specific request but what about this completely irrelevant thing?" replies are rolling in thick and fast. I'd never do this to an editor who put out a specific call for pitches, so why is it OK to flood a freelancer's inbox?
Absolutely full-on couple of days writing about Alison Hammond, Judi Love, Annie Lennox and more. Definitely in need of a lie down.
That’s proper big news and I’m a tiny bit jealous 😊
Yes, if only we’d known our industry was dying when we started out - sorry grim thought I know.
An important read. How sad that our local newspapers where so many of us were proud to dig up up important community stories are now in this state.

I’ve benefited so much from the MSE forum.
Four times a month I run meetings for over 60s where we laugh at my pretty useless quiz master duties and card game prowess, it will never be the best paid work but I thoroughly recommend it for bringing joy.
A compelling and important piece thank you to Kitty and @metrouk.bsky.social for including my thoughts as a former crime reporter.
#thisisnotright
Such brilliant work. 👏👏👏Do you think I can nab any interest in Wolverhampton 🤦🏻♀️
‘Stories about violence against women don’t make an impact – this is why’ a compelling piece by Kitty Chrisp @metrouk.bsky.social after it launched its This is not right’ campaign - I’m included talking about the best and worst of true crime reporting metro.co.uk/2024/11/25/s...
Just written about an absolute legend, was wowed when I watched him in 1986 at Shrewsbury Music Hall. www.birminghamworld.uk/community/be...
I’m looking to speak to survivors of #domesticabuse in #london about what they feel needs to be done by #localgovernment, #METpolice and communities in their #londonborough to better support victims. Can of course be anonymous. My email is rebecca_whalley@outlook.com. Thanks! #journorequest
I think I need to check my eyesight/brain fog 🤣🤦🏻♀️
It’s not often I work over the weekends these days, I sometimes say I’m going to, then don’t. For once, I’ve settled down and got on with it. Feels good to not let anxiety and procrastination get in the way.
This afternoon I’ve been researching and writing about Chelsea’s first Black player, Paul Canoville. I think ‘inspiring’ is used far too often but he really deserves it!
At a time when domestic abuse is so prevalent and trust in politicians is so low, it is astonishing that Reform allowed a man jailed for abusing a woman to become a candidate let alone an MP. Serious questions need to be answered. James McMurdock is not fit for public office.
Ah thank you, I have a very short deadline and have made a big dent in it now, researching some wonderfully inspiring people.
Ah sorry, no worries, I did a search on here for Paul Canoville and yours was the only post that came up so replied 🤦🏻♀️
@adamcain.bsky.social I’m just writing about Paul now, what a life he has had.
