It’s not that confusing. The PS5 has been largely held back by the PS4 and optimization hasn’t exactly been the best. This generation needed more time to cook, and a PS6 would feel meaningless. Let the PS5 achieve greatness before phasing it out.

I’m turning 35 and I’m right there with you. I think the Switch 2 has WAY more third party possibilities. Yes, playing them on PC or PS5/ XSX will be a better experience. However, the ability for portability comes with sacrifice. I’m excited to see who ports what to the system.

Oh for sure, I agree. The average consumer, or an unknowing parent could see the steam machine at $1,000 and think it’s too much. If the next Xbox STARTS at $800, they’ll see the difference and go Xbox. Meanwhile, an $800 Xbox probably won’t be the bargain comparatively.

Which is crazy unfortunate. In the days of the 360, I would have NEVER thought I’d leave Xbox by the wayside. To me, the 2013 E3 was the beginning of the end for them. Really shot themselves and have been bleeding out since.

I see what you mean by price comparison, but an XSX 2TB is $800 USD. You could buy cheap memory to expand the upcoming Steam Machine. There’s no way in hell the next Xbox OR PlayStation is going to be cheap with the price of computer parts right now.
