Not to mention it's a Black woman and this is happening in the USA is crazy.

As someone who experienced an aneurysm and got surgery in like early January of this year at 19 years of age it's fucking sad for me to hear this. Even if none of that happened, it would still be sad to me. Treating women as incubators is insane to me.

Just found out today that they're keeping a woman alive in Georgia because of a law. Her name is Adriana Smith and it's against her families wishes, they didn't have a say either. To me it's really saddening to hear that doctors just denied the issues she's been having too.

To me, people who just leave their partners like that, they're not worth it. I also want to say that I don't like it when an accommodation or just something they ask gets ignored. Because if it's helpful to them, why deny that?

I'm aware that disabled people have had partners who left them, I do hope that those disabled people have a partner that loves them. It's sad to hear, also being disabled applies to people who were born with it or developed it later in life.

I'm most likely to make a mistake if I'm grabbed if people want me to avoid that. But the idea of not being seen as "lovable" because of your disability is stupid to me. I think anyone who is disabled can be loved, I never viewed them in a negative way like a "burden" that's said as an example.

I'm capable of a lot even if I don't look like it. I know that people may grab me because it comes with good intentions. Being grabbed doesn't help me, it might be a "skill issue" on my part. I don't want to hear that I'm not used to it because it's not true.

I do admit that my struggle with my arms/hands is frustrating. I don't like to be viewed as "helpless" or "dependent" and I don't like it when others "baby me" and I get why others don't. I also get why disabled folks don't like to be grabbed, I know I don't.

Thankfully, it's not as bad anymore. The left hand, specifically the fingers, is the only issue I have because I can't really control it. Because of that issue, sometimes I can or can't do certain tasks, especially when it requires two hands.

It's not something I tell a lot of people about anyway in general. What I'm about to say isn't meant to generalize, that never was my point. When I had to use a wheelchair I did need help. When I couldn't control my arms I did need help.

I do hope that my usage for mobility aids is temporary, I like to say I'm visibly disabled because of my usage for them. My aneurysm I don't want to talk about in this thread since that's not the point. Things just happen to me at random at this point, honestly.

I say that as someone who had a brain aneurysm this year, yk I'm 19 currently. Using that with my horrendous anxiety? Terrible combo. I get stares for whatever reason I just ignore them. I'm lucky to be able to walk because some wheelchair users can't.

I talked about this before, so I rather say it here, too. I'm not looking for praise or whatever for this, I genuinely don't care, but I just don't want my words to get twisted, that's all. But I think dating someone with a disability is fine but if it's fantasized about that's just fucking weird.
