Please point at where a debate even happened. What are you even imagining happened here? I said leftists are toxic over the most minor disagreements and everyone here basically just said "yes"

Do you think that evangelicals feel any sort of dissonance when they recognize that biologists, the people who study biology, disagree with them about their fundamental beliefs? What sort of cognitive short circuits do you think they could recognize from the outside?
The unholy marriage of smugness and illiteracy is also, frequently, annoying
If you read this as "debate me bro" you lack reading comprehension. I'm not here to debate leftists in economics anymore than I would want to debate evangelicals on evolution, in complaining about the supernova of harassment that explodes every time someone has a halfway original thought
I'm guessing you mean the nyt? Is that Nazi collaborator incorporated? No. It's not. If you think that, then your political existence is a waste and we'd be better off if you just smoked weed all day
If this is a question for you, then you're no good to anyone
I absolutely would if he were being stupid about purity testing. I would call him a dumbass, internet brained clout goblin where and when appropriate. He is not always that, and he is never a Nazi collaborator. He is about as far removed from that as one can be while not being a rock
The thing that predicts high cost of living and high street homelessness is a low vacancy rate. That is THE major predictor, in fact. I don't think explaining things further is a good use of time, your mind runs on smug leftist wish-casting and no conversation with you can be productive
If you ever have a problem of "we need to get better at making this faster and with fewer resources" you are engaging in supply side advocacy. If this is something you never find yourself saying, I invite you to consider that you might be too far removed from actual production
My Bach is in econ, if I sound like a 101 course it's because that's the level of failure on the left. There are more nuanced conversations to have which the left can't participate in because they're stuck on the common sense part
Let's create a secondary line of theories and thought experiments for people with brainworms, who can't help but hyper-literalize framing at the cost of the actual concept being demonstrated.
No, it's not actually about prisoners, you clown
What part of cooperating in the prisoners dilemma keeps me from honestly calling someone a complete dumbass? I can say that while being perfectly mindful, non-dualistically mindful, and perfectly compassionate. The load bearing question is whether someone needs to be called a dumbass. OP does
Specify
I can guarantee that I would say this to literally anyone, including every single one of your sacred cows, I'd bet my life on it
Moderate Dems were the reason we were able to get the inflation reduction act passed. They were iffy in trans rights, immigration, etc., but if you have a choice between a Republican and Joe Manchin I think the choice is obvious for anyone motivated by actual outcomes
Maybe not the worst but maybe one of the worst things that festered on the left was normalizing people who talk like this to excuse their psychopathic behavior
That said this vision is very different from "everything about American healthcare is bad and we should do whatever England is doing" because... No, it's not bad and England has its own issues. Tradeoffs matter and we can improve without losing what we have that's good
I would say something like "they're not turned away they just go into debt and have their lives derailed, because yada yada yada" but I agree directionally that medical bankruptcy is a national embarrassment and people delay healthcare because of costs. Single payer should be the norm
It is astounding that so many people can't even imagine a world or an opinion outside of the bubble of ineffectual, misanthropic political arsonists
And I'm not sure you know who comes to those political functions. They are not on the left of the income distribution
I mean, I'd say screw you but I'm definitely saving this for later
Us cancer survival rates are the best in the world, if you're adjusting for unhealthy lifestyles Americans have excellent healthcare. It is too expensive and should be made single payer, but the healthcare outcomes themselves are chart-topping
I am to the left if most Americans on welfare and foreign aid and basically everything I'm talking about here is for the good of poor people. Lots of homeless people are homeless because the homes they would have lived in were made illegal to build or rent
Stay away from polling booths
It obviously does and I can think of multiple studies across multiple teams across multiple countries that clearly find that filtering and vacancy chains decrease housing even when the things being built are above market rate. This is empiricism, not leftist vibe-casting, so I'm not sure you care
You like to dish but you can't take it worth a shit, huh? I called you toxic, you called a black guy a Nazi collaborator. I don't know what you think the political landscape landscape is where somehow your behavior is more acceptable
I never said I was a furry wtf it's an avatar chill
And an opportunist for what? This place isn't monetized lol you lot just need to hear this if you ever happen to try visiting a polling booth in the next decade
Bouie is in lockstep with the left on most important issues, most Americans are not, and this place will punk his ass out in a second the moment they're bored. For a normal person who isn't a couple standard deviations to the left of the American average this is a horror show
Anything regarding supply side economics. US healthcare outcomes are pretty great. Deregulation. Environmental review is really bad. Local control of political structures is bad. Individuals who show up to political functions should be ignored. International trade is good. Things are improving, etc.
The obvious one might be "housing is a supply problem, the political machinery designed to prevent gentrification actually causes it. Lobbying to prevent housing of literally any kind makes people poorer. No, me being a white guy doesn't make me less objectively right."
That's a p common one
