Tehran has about the population of New York City. This is unconscionable.
My real question is how many Atlanta residents who live, work, and play on BeltLine Street are choosing to DUI home when the weather sucks because there’s no transit option to get to or from the 1.5 mile fun section of the 22 mile loop.
It just started pouring along the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside trail.
If only there was a rail transit option so folks with bikes, strollers, wheelchairs, and pets don't get drenched...
*puts hand to earpiece* the Mayor just annulled a citywide referendum, possibly in favor of autonomous cars? Damn.

Ain’t no way I’d ever publicly reveal the dumbest thing I ever done done.
It dies with me. Unless I reveal it here, in which case I will have a new dumbest thing I've ever done.
This war crime was brought to you by the letter D for data centers: those big ass warehouses eating the tax subsidies issued by your local dipshit economic development office using money that was supposed to pay for public schools and sidewalks.
I do feel like urban track clubs hosting corporate-sponsored marathons that lock down walkable neighborhoods for hours and hours are the Forester cyclists of pedestrians.
I appreciate them sharing the graphic of what the BeltLine will look like with rubber tire autonomous transit pods.
Very excited to have these new homes in my neighborhood! And the free bike is badass.
It was really nice of Monday Night Brewing to name a beer after the Atlanta Department of City Planning.
The US and Israel bombed an Iranian elementary school for girls.

They start wars and bomb children.
The Epstein Class must go.
The entire conversation about “relief” in Georgia is disingenuous. The state has offloaded BILLIONS in education costs onto locals. The dominant source of revenue for most school systems is property taxes. The state could provide relief AND support our schools by reclaiming its share of expenses.
Every single legislator in Georgia knows how devastating cutting property taxes will be for our public schools and it is absolutely by design that the property tax repeal proposed by the majority will roll out over 6 years. #GaPol
There’s obv a very major white group of conservative NIMBYs analogous to this too but it’s insane that the reason we end up with ridiculous mayors is because the most solidly democratic demographic in the city also happens to be the most conservative one.
hence the anti transit pro cop city mayor
The BeltLine’s only success without transit is just private development, and the city could have done that for free by just relaxing zoning restrictions. The financial tools like the TAD, the SSD, grant money, etc all exist to advance a transit corridor.
💯
"I believe that the Beltline is a failure without rail."

Alternative headline: vegan burger lady with multiple federal wage theft lawsuits, who personally conspired with a Jan 6 denier and future treasurer of the United States to give Elon Musk a $10 million tax break to build a data center on the BeltLine, officially joins Real Housewives of Atlanta:
This is absolutely pure cruelty.
One party spread across 17 miles?! Atlanta central planners CANNOT resist the pathological urge to make everything low density sprawl even for World Cup celebrations.
In this gubernatorial election, I’m personally supporting Leviathan the World Ending Serpent. They’re the only candidate who I trust to deliver on an (admittedly one note) campaign promise and to do so equally and equitably across all socioeconomic and racial spectrums.
Esteves co-sponsored Republican tax breaks for wealthy land owners, effectively defunding cities and schools. I can’t in good conscience support a Democrat who defunds education to give rich people tax breaks.
💯 “planning” if anything has been the problem. It’s prideful fantasy to imagine governments can anticipate (and enshrine by law) the needs and wants of a diverse population.
Yes! I was in Manhattan last spring, post congestion pricing, and the noise was so human scale. The streets felt vibrant and oddly peaceful. So much better
