Bonnett's Books

A bright yellow background scattered with a dozen or so cartoonish illustrations of pairs of sexy, plump, pink, kissable lips was cropped and touched up from the cover of "Sex to Sexty" issue 13. Upon this cover I've applied purple text at an toward sloping angle that reads "Happy New Year" on one line and a larger "2026" below that. Clip art of a hand is along the lower left side pointing at the text. Best the bottom center is clip art of a Victorian gent tipping his top-hat while riding a penny-farthing bicycle. Further embellishments include a wavy line of sparkles across "Happy New Year" and a bit of light-flare along the right edge.

What's in store for the new year? The best way to find out is to stop in the store!

Sorry for the late post. I'm fighting a cold & today the bug is winning. Also, this snow angel from Monday melted today. Coincidence? Maybe it was helping watch over the 'hood. ❄️

Fawcett's "Funny Animals" Vol 2 № 10, September 1943, includes a full back-page Capt. Marvel ad for War Bonds & Stamps.

"Goofy Comics" 5, June 1944, has unique banners for War Bonds & Stamps across the bottom of nearly every page.

Cropped issue number art from the cover of "Sex to Sexty" 10. The four crosshatched lines of the number (or 'pound') symbol and the number ten are printed in black inside an asymmetric white circle when a black border, the background is a pink-orange with a few irregular white wavy lines.

"Perfect 10" was a privately published glossy adult mag competing with Playboy.

I rate this post 4/10 for being only slightly informative.

Ziggy and Silly exit a movie theater. The sandwich board outside reads "Now Playing - Frankenstein - The Monster Horror Chiller." Silly says, "Whew! That certainly was a scary picture!" Ziggy replies, "It'd take more than that to frighten me!"

New "Frankenstein" film now playing at the Neon Movies in downtown Dayton, OH!

#SexToSexty was an adults-only humor mag that ran from the late 1960s into the '80s, filled with naughty & not very PC jokes & toons, some by famous mainstream illustrators.

I've been receiving mystery envelopes in the mail for a little while now. No regular schedule. Inside, positive missives, handsomely printed on cardstock.

I like the mystery and the advice.
