This is wrong.
This is wrong.
She was occupying that reluctantly because she thought that was what was appropriate, necessary.
A screenshot from a post on tumblr. The text reads βI guess you could interpret it that way if you wanted something to be upset aboutβ and βNew reaction image for 'posting something on the internet and having it be wildly misinterpreted'β

Now that Iβve read (well listened to) @naomialderman.bsky.socialβs recent book on the Information Crisis, Iβm seeing more and more pertinent content and acknowledgment of many of the underlying issues (and need for new etiquettes) in various places online π
In politics, the sour, embittered, petty messaging from Farage and his ilk gets so much airtime (and is sped by Labour and the tories), but positive messaging should have good traction. Zack Polanski seems to understand this, perhaps Ed Davey too. Will anyone else get on board?
Thatβs something very hopeful. Thank you for sharing! I would love to see more mainstream acknowledgement and encouragement of this.
A large raven in an enclosure. Instead of the usual black, it is white with blue eyes
Today I got to meet a white raven at a wildlife rescue center! This is Opal π
First ski jumping, now this? Is nothing sacred?
This is amazing. Genuinely thought it was from The Onion when I first glanced at the title.
Do cats understand when we are taking pictures of them?
If you divide england up into thirds then almost everything you've heard of is in the Midlands. You probably live in the Midlands mate. Get over it.
the racists are the ones who have 'failed to integrate' in to modern britain.
Embarrassed for you.
If I use a gmail account, that doesnt make my correspondence American by defaultβ¦ but this does put me in mind of some of the topics discussed by Naomi Alderman in her βDonβt Burn Anyone at the Stake Todayβ book. The etiquettes and expectations of social media comms can be be confusing!
The claim that Bluesky is βan American platformβ is a curious one. Even if true, I donβt see how that is really relevant. The user base is very international, and it doesnβt make sense to assume that everything discussed here is de facto American. An unjustifiably insular stance (embarrassing even).
For all of you concerned about your holidays π
"The online survey will run from Monday, 2 March to Monday, 30 March 2026 and aims to gain an insight into demographic data, the single-sex spaces people have been questioned for using and the wider effects of the ruling on peopleβs day-to-day lives."

Option 1: Simply go back the way you came to where the pipe is much lower
Option 2: Simply use your mighty wings to get a bit of lift
Option 3: ...
Does anyone know of any other examples of where a video synchs perfectly to other audio, like the This Is America video clip set to Call Me Maybe?
No mate. You shouldnβt have jumped to conclusions.
Very weak post this.
He doesnβt look very well.
Where will you be in October when Peter Mandelson resigns in disgrace from his position as Supreme Leader of Iran?
That is an absolute classic onion article.
I often imagine lasers coming out of the ends of my toes, cutting holes in nearby furniture. I assumed everyone did this so had never mentioned it to anyone before, but my partner insists no-one else does it. Surely everyone does though?
BBC 6 music is malfunctioning :-/
I donβt think this hugely detracts from Reform- type support in the Tory rank and file, but it doesnβt really directly support any claims that the Reform party per se is hugely popular. Might suggest that there will be challenges to fully convert Tory support to Reform in upcoming elections.
Just saw someone else mention this, but it is notable that the Green Partyβs current crop of 5 MPs were all elected as members of that party. Whereas the Reform Party currently 8 MPs, only four of whom were elected under the Reform banner. Fully half of their strength is from Tory defectors.
if there was indeed any 'family voting' (unlikely), i would bet money it was women being pressured to vote reform by their white husbands
20 spare minutes? Luxury!
@quietriotpod.bsky.social I just listened to the audiobook version of @naomialderman.bsky.socialβs βDonβt burn anyone at the stake todayβ and I thought it was the sort of thing that might go down well at Quiet Riot towers.
