Current read: WHILE THE PATIENT SLEPT by Mignon G. Eberhart. It’s a Golden Age mystery.
Need to write more.
“Aaaaaand now iiiiiit’s
Springtime for Shitler
And ‘Murica”
That’s all I’ve got so far. I’m not great at song parodies like Tom Ruegger and the guys at ANIMANIACS.
“The Cat and the Claw” was the same episode that aired first on Fox in 1992. Then Sunday it was “On Leather Wings” in primetime. Think Monday at its regular weekday time was “Heart of Ice.”
Read the DC Compact version of NIGHTWING by @tomtaylormade.bsky.social & @brunoredondo.bsky.social and couldn’t put it down. Some of the best writing and art in a comic book. An added laugh was the bear poster referencing @gailsimone.bsky.social. Great work! There should be a Nightwing movie!
Poison Ivy cover by artist Jessica Fong showing a subdued Poison Ivy sitting behind the mayor's desk at City Hall in Gotham.
POISON IVY ISSUE 42 is out today and Ivy rules Gotham...as mayor of the city. But what is power in a fundamentally corrupt system? And what do you have to sacrifice to maintain it? Ivy is making bad choices and we're along for the ride. Cover @anireal.bsky.social art @marciotakara.bsky.social

I’m soooooooo mired in student debt ($100K) that the only things I look forward to at the end of the day are a hamburger from Wendy’s and MURDER, SHE WROTE repeats. The only way out of this is by becoming a professional writer and at 42, that dream slips away more with each passing day.
Looked into affordable housing plans in NYC for people on a fixed income.
The lowest is in the Bronx and you have to make at least $30,000 a year.
I’m so screwed. My parents didn’t make that in a year in PA and both of them worked.
An idea for a Gale Weathers-centered SCREAM movie popped into my mind almost fully formed.
It’s times like this when not having less than any clout in the entertainment industry sucks.
There’s a book out there titled TO KILL A COOK about a female food critic in 1970s New York City. It’s so cinematic and funny. If Martin Scorsese and Nora Ephron could’ve teamed up to co-direct a movie together, they would do it from this book.
Superman over Metropolis.
Lois Lane. If only real reporters had her fearlessness and ethics.
Jimmy Olsen. Don Johnsoning it up at the Daily Planet.
The Toyman. Dramatic redesign from the guy in a suit in the comics and the plastic masked weirdo from SUPERMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES.
Mr. Mxyzptlk. Went with his classic look with a little Bill Skarsgard Pennywise the Clown throw in.
Lex Luthor.
Decided to draw something other than Batman for a change. Here’s… Superman.
The new Ghostbusters.
Drew this last Halloween but didn’t post it because of severe depression. Think they’d make cute characters for Hallmark cards.

SLAYCATION didn’t advance to the Emerging Screenwriters semifinals. Oh well. Let’s see how it does in the Page International Screenwriting Awards competition.
Read BATMAN: THE LAST HALLOWEEN. Definitely deserves a second read because there’s a lot to unpack. First impression: the story’s a little uneven. Why can’t Batman figure out who all the Holidays are? Alternating artists kinda skewered the style. Chris Samnee should’ve done whole series.
Read SPIDER-MAN: BLUE for the first time. I was almost bawling at the end. Brilliant storytelling by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale. Can’t believe Mr. Sale is gone.
