Absolutely understandable! Your criticisms are still completely valid, and I'll definitely bear what you had to say in mind for either later down the line or in future projects to try and improve. That's why I love reading people's critiques so much, they're a huge help for me 🩷
Also bear in mind that Dendron IS an actual game in development! It has a fleshed out core narrative for both the surface-level game and the underlying horror stuff regarding the game's development history, which I hope you'll be able to enjoy more than the series 🩷
Although, even that's still on the backburner as everything is designed to feed back into the story I'm trying to tell. I don't want to rush the story so it might feel a bit disjointed and "not game like" in it's earlier stages, but it should in theory get to a good point eventually.
As for the horror stuff, I get where you're coming from too. But also remember that Dendron 64 is first and foremost a psychological horror game, so establishing the atmosphere takes a lot of priority outside of writing the story itself, otherwise there's no point in labelling it as such.
Sorry to hear you didn't really enjoy the series! I absolutely get some of your criticism, as I'm well-aware already that it's not completely accurate to the N64 era.
