That is surprisingly normal for public bug trackers and feature requests; don't take it as a sign of futility though; the process does work, it just takes way longer than anyone wants. The votes really do make the difference. Boost it!
Avatar stations in VRChat are an ancient relic that remains buggy for very complicated reasons; and probably can never be fixed without breaking historic content. But we can get a fresh alternative, ideally made from scratch with current VRChat in mind, and we really should. Please upvote this!
VR is the Great Realizer, especially fullbody. Get too out of touch with the human body puppeting the avatar and the problems are immediate and feel first-hand annoying.

And the crazy part? I like it more. The upper area extends past human vision, making one of the three boarders feel uncapped and infinite, which is better than none! Gazing upward in VR, I just feel totally immersed.
Recently I discovered I've been wearing every VR headset "incorrectly" since 2018. By adjusting them into their sweet spot, I have been unknowingly correcting for my astigmatism, resulting in wearing it too high and tilted upward, giving me massive upper FOV and reduced lower on every headset.
