It's the logical outcome of populism. If you hate the experts for being annoying know-it-alls and you fire them...well, then, all the People Who Know Things are gone. Then, when there's trouble and you need People Who Know Things...all that's left are the morons who ate chalk in elementary school.
I think our kids are looking at the parents and grandparents and thinking, "If they don't care, neither should I."

I didn't like Biden's policy on Gaza, but I always knew Trump had ties to Bibi through Kushner and if he won, it would give Israel permission to do whatever TF they wanted. Which they did. Harris might have changed policy in response to pressure. There's no chance with Trump. How was that not clear?

The bottom line is Trump sacrificed 8 American lives (& counting) and more than 1,000 Iranian lives (& counting) for nothing. He hurt the US & global economies, destabilized the Middle East, & will pull out with the same Iranian regime in power. There's no silver lining.

Narcissism can be harder to identify as a mental illness because we make excuses for them. We tell ourselves that they can't really be saying what it sounds like they're saying. We must have misunderstood. It's only when you ask the follow up questions that you realize, nope, they're for real.
