Illinois Made It Illegal to Boycott Israel How you can help Illinois rectify a Constitutionally indefensible error committed by 39 states, and repeal its anti-BDS legislation

Do Americans know that in 39 states it is ILLEGAL to boycott Israel?

I wrote about it today because we have a chance in Illinois to right this wrong. But I'm realizing most Americans have no idea Netanyahu spent at least $25M to criminalize boycotts of Israel.

A reminder that tomorrow is ash Wednesday and I will disappear from social media until the evening before Easter. During which time I'll debate if I want to drop $14 or whatever the kosher gel rings will cost this year.

Thinking about how much public perception of AI is probably downstream of the ridiculous beclownment of NFT just a couple years prior, by what culturally feels like the same gaggle of zero-value-add meme-surfing scamlords.

I agree that the delivery robots have more problems than self checkout, but I feel like it's that same or similar argument

Honestly, getting married or getting your kid baptized is probably the demarcation of "I'm deciding myself to do this Catholic thing" for most people.

Perhaps encouraging parish registration with some kind of blessing so every adult has a thing

Professors in the Epstein Files Begin to Face Consequences Several faculty members who spoke regularly with Epstein have been stripped of their titles or teaching duties.

David Gelernter, a creationist computer scientist who has long been a disgrace to Yale University, has been suspended for referring to an undergraduate student as a "v small goodlooking blonde" in a job recommendation to Jeffrey Epstein. He said later that he was "very glad" to have written it.

Tech executives have finally amassed their ultimate, long dreamed-of power: to summarily fire anyone who speaks ill of their desire to have sex with robots

Niche gripe: one thing that hadn't occurred to me recently, and which has probably been detrimental to protest movements, is that the structure of social media (not just the algorithm) seems to be much better for saying what sucks than to building what doesn't.

On my flight today, a chatty lady said, β€œI can’t go to New York with all that’s going on over there.” And I said, β€œWhat? Free child care?” And she stopped talking to me.

As I’ve been saying, by the end of the year, you can expect that ChatGPT will be selling a product that lets people generate child sexual abuse material on demand. They will then say β€œoops” about it violating their TOS, and repeat until everyone caves. Because their leadership is largely ex-Meta.

at my last job, as technical principal I had to institute 20 hours of basic computer training for all new hires because every hire under 25 was deluging our i.t. department with tickets for problems like 'I can't figure out how to turn my laptop on,' and, 'I can't find the file I just downloaded.'

While the implementation is certainly systemically racist, I think by open sourcing the formulas and forcing the credit bureaus to show their work we can make credit scores good and equitable.
