Suzie Wiles needs some help thinking of ideas to lower gas prices. Any suggestions? How about:
β’ Don't bomb Iran.
β’ Restore fuel economy standards.
β’ Offer rebates to people who want an EV but can't yet afford one.
Trump's empty promise that AI data centers will lower electricity prices isnβt backed by reality. Americans support data centers powered by clean energyβnot fossil fuels that risk even higher utility bills.
Trump and his family have already taken more than $2 billion for themselves since he was elected by selling the presidency.

"This is the kind of corruption that shreds the fabric of a nation, and we are working on it like you wouldn't believe."
Fact check: true.
When Trump says he likes the way this economy is running, it's because he likes making you pay coal and gas execs more money.
And his long-sought destruction of all vehicle efficiency standards is going to INCREASE gasoline prices for everyone.
Turns out that blocking clean energy is a bad plan. His policies are set to cut the amount of new energy that will be added over the next decade in HALF.

Trump said he'd cut energy prices in half. Electricity is up 13 percent. What gives?
Trumpβs EPA has gutted lifesaving environmental protections, including limits on harmful chemicals and toxic pollution produced by:
-Gas and coal power plants
-Oil and gas refineries
-Petrochemical & chemical manufacturers
-Pesticide manufacturers
βMake America Healthy Again.β
The Trump administration is putting Big Oil first once again with its plans to withdraw from the UNFCCC, the bedrock of all international climate cooperationβand Americans will pay the price.
Last night, the Trump administration withdrew the United States from the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)βthe foundational 1992 treaty that established the entire framework for international climate cooperation.
This is unprecedented and dangerous.
Today is the one year anniversary of one of California's deadliest wildfires. There's no denying climate change is fueling these deadly fires, which haven taken everything from survivors like Katie and Marco.
Roughly 1//3 of the families who would have switched to an EV in the coming decade will instead continue to drive on gasoline because of Trump's disastrous policies.
The way we'll experience that: higher prices and worse selection. The best cars just won't be available in America.
New York Times reports that "The focus on Venezuela intensified after late May, when Mr. Trump was upset about tough negotiations involving Chevron. Venezuelaβs oil has been more central to Mr. Trumpβs deliberations than previously reported."
www.nytimes.com/2025/12/27/u...
Now NYT is reporting that Trump had to let Chevron's claims expire in order to win the votes of some anti-Maduro members of Congress for passage of OBBBA.
But Chevron wanted back in, and this was part of the deliberations in the White House about escalating attacks.
What do oil companies get out of war with Venezuela? It is cheaper to produce oil there, and companies are desperate for resources that will remain profitable to extract even as global EV sales start to crush oil prices.
Chevron is the only one with rights to produce there...
I can hardly believe that the Trump team's plans for fuel economy standards are so bad that β not only will car buyers have to pick from a market full of gas guzzlers β but so many more people will be buying so much more gas that prices will rise by more than $0.25 a gallon.
"rising home insurance premiums, driven higher by climate change, are cascading into the broader real estate market and eating into home values in the most disaster-prone areas."
6 Senators defected in both March and November to empower Trump: Cortez Masto, Durbin, King, Fetterman, Hassan, Shaheen.

NEW from @americanprogress.bsky.social and @nrdc.org --> 65% of all U.S. electric and 59% of all U.S. natural gas utility costumers face increased or proposals for increased utility rates by 2027. Find out some reasons why in our new report: www.americanprogress.org/article/resi...
By changing the names of public places, censoring historical exhibits, and reducing access to public areas, the Trump administration is erasing the multicultural and multiracial stories of the people who shaped this country. https://ampr.gs/48ILAhV
Here's a great map (if you love maps) of how the charging network has grown. The job is not yet done, but never forget that our country is capable of doing great things.

Masked armed men watch a mother and her children go to school.
This morning: MPD and ATF conducted a massive paramilitary operation, with officers in masks and camo, in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood of DC within 500 yards of an elementary school while neighborhood children were heading to school.

The Department of Energy HQ is purportedly cancelling all pending #FOIA requests submitted before October 1, 2024, unless the requester emails a specific address w/i 30 days asking the agency to continue processing.
This is wildly illegal.

NEWS: President Trump is federalizing the Metropolitan Police Department, which means he will control it for up to 30 days. He is also deploying the D.C. National Guard, all to fight what he says is an increase in crime.
