Tax Rates in Washington Right now, we are paying more of a percentage our of income in taxes than the top 20%. A person working as a stocker and order filler in Yakima that makes $39,680 pays 10.9% of their income in taxes. An executive making $3 million pays 4.1% of their income in taxes.
Right now, our state tax code asks the majority of us to pay far more of our income in taxes than the wealthiest.
The Millionaires Tax would be the first step in fixing our upside-down tax code by having 0.6% of Washingtonians pay what they truly owe.
