Dear #KnitSky, a #WIPWednesday AND #scrapalong2026 update π· These are supposed to be scrappy lil tulips π«£ pattern is Tulip Socks - Purl Soho, yarns are various scraps that I had in my stash. Not sure how I feel about these yet, but I thoroughly enjoyed working through the colourwork chart π§Ά
@comfyspice.bsky.social Happy sewing! πΈπΌπ·πͺ»
A promo poster for this monthβs #SewSky stash busting sewing challenge! An illustrated pair of hands sews green fabric with a sewing machine. Three pink illustrated flowers are off centred.
Dear #SewSky, weβre back with another round of #MarchThroughYourStash! Hereβs a month-long stash-busting #sewing challenge for you:
- use 1+yd of fabric from your stash between March 1-31
- share your project using #MarchThroughYourStash2026
- Repost someoneβs completed challenge project

I had canva open and just finished a lil something πΈ
Sorry Iβve not gotten anything done yet! Iβll try to by the weekend π«
Oh no! That sucks. I hope you feel better soon β€οΈ Iβll see what I can whip up π€
Yay! Letβs do it! I need some motivation too π Are you able to create another graphic to share the challenge? Last yearβs was so good!
Amazing! The goal π€©
Hey @comfyspice.bsky.social! Are we doing a 2026 version of #MarchThroughYourStash?? Iβve got both yarn and fabric stashes staring at me saying yesβ¦ What do #KnitSky and #SewSky think?
A flat lay photo of a hand knit striped tank top against a cream background. The main colour is red (holst garn coast in Bourgogne) and the contrast is pink (I think itβs truboo bamboo?).
Happy happy love! This week, #ShowMeYourKnits that are red β€οΈ and pink π©· This striped Sailor Swift top by Veronica Lindberg (Kutovakika) showed up earlier in my feed for stripes week, but gets an honourable mention for Valentineβs Day because itβs just so darn cute ππ₯° #KnitSky #knitting
βSlacks aflapβ has to be the best descriptor for the satisfying movement of big pants. These look absolutely gorgeous!
A photo of me smiling wearing a cream colour coat, colourful plaid scarf and hand knit brown toque. Iβm wearing dark sunglasses and have a red bag worn crossbody with my hands in my coat pockets.
Hi! Itβs been a while. Iβve missed my #knitting, #garmentsewing, and maker communities here and look forward to reconnecting with you all over the coming weeks β€οΈπ§Άπ§΅πͺ‘
I now store all my woollens in plastic totes and add cedar balls or lavender sachets - so far so good! π€

How have I missed the wonderful prompts of #sewandtell?? Hereβs my purple sewing project for this week - a floral print corduroy vest lined with bellflower purple cotton twill. A little hacky but loved by its recipient π₯° #SewSky π§΅πͺ‘
Those buttons are adorable! π
Hats are my favourite handknit to gift and charity knit π§Ά
A stack of handknit toques held up against a light background.
A flat-lay photo of two neutral coloured handknit toques featuring a contrasting Norwegian star motif.
All the hats! Two years ago, I spent a few weeks knitting toques with all the bits and bobs of yarn in my stash. I think the total count was 9 hats in 4 weeks; most featured a Norwegian star motif and the rest were either self-drafted colourwork patterns or simple rib π§Ά #ShowMeYourKnits #KnitSky

Spooky knits for this weekβs #ShowMeYourKnits π»ππ§Ά Tegna by Caitlin Hunter knit up in Sweet Georgia Yarns Tough Love (I think the colourway is Rustic, but my incredibly helpful notes only say βbrownβ π ) The colours have always given me spooky season vibes β¨ #KnitSky
Thanks for the comment - please check the alt text for a description. The yarn is a mystery sock yarn missing its label from my stash. The pattern is self-drafted with reference to @kateatherley.bsky.social Basic Ribbed Socks for the heel turn and gusset π§¦

The back! I hacked together this waist tie for a more tailored fit
Thank goodness for local fabric stores - Spool of Thread saved me on a notions order with same-day local delivery so I could complete this hobbit-themed birthday present for a friend π A fun and quick hacky make, but my god do I hate sewing with satin π #SewSky #GarmentSewing #lotr
Living room sewing definitely sounds warmer! π
As a fellow apartment dweller, I feel this β€οΈ And also, Iβve gotten very creative with storage solutions out of necessity and space constraint π§Ά That said, when I did have an art studio, it was only 75sqft π«£
Oh my goodness YES! Having an adjustable height workspace is revolutionary. I also have recently started adjusting my ironing board height depending on if Iβm ironing yardage or pressing seams - I have a rolling chair and roll between the sewing machine and iron as needed when working on projects.
So dreamy! I love this π₯°
I definitely miss having a dedicated studio space for making where I could have my machines and cutting mats set up and ready to go π
Dear #SewSky and #KnitSky, where is your maker space? Do you sew or knit in your home, a making shed or dedicated studio, or out in the community? I share space at home with a WFH desk and previously rented an art studio space. How does the location of your maker space affect your #MakingMotivation?
