hated being told by Fire/Rescue personnel that the Complete Streets infra was not impeding them… then lied a few days later saying they do

absolute rubbish

was almost run over as a pedestrian by a driver trying to get away from a cyclist they hit

traffic calming kept them nearby, cyclist stopped the driver, i caught up, & an ally in the safe streets fight was following in car

no apology, stared straight forward, once front of car was clear they left

mad about the fact that good policy won the day in ‘23 so they need to Prairie Dog & ask Qs

despite CDOT in person meetings, web sites, and Alders sharing why they chose to support this

such disingenuous bologna by media and business owners

they thought CDOT was going to 🐓out, to many kids died

the province and city can not handle nepo babies like this

Alders have a responsibility to explain their votes and share with constituents why they voted unanimously for the Ordinance

they missed 3 years of prepping and including their constituents in the conversation then want to blame CDOT for fulfilling the mandate they voted for

there are moments where i worry about the space our children are being forced into due to a few individuals making huge money or staying out of jail

it is so disingenuous and disheartening to watch politicians who voted for Complete Streets get bullied and fail to rise to the occasion to share why that vote was important. instead use it a political opportunism to try to unseat opponents who are sticking to their vote and making our city safer

You are being undemocratic forcing this on us without our consent,

despite City mandate and public meetings and a bazillion we hate bike lanes by the usual suspects,

we demand you stop your (un) democratic instillations of road safety where we demand small mob rule!

or the Prairie Doggers who “did not know“ about ‘23 48-0 Complete Streets Ordinance pass, public meetings, web sites, dangers in their hood

just asking questions!

or the folks who routinely are given info about projects, or claim EMS/Fire issues that sit in on meetings where the benefits are explained/told by EMS/Fire it does not effect them

but the continue to spread the lies

the recent hate stirred by UC has created some very ghoulish avatars

or folks during the Dickens anger “until blood is spilled at this corner, your kids death does not matter”

one of the many reasons we need to stop quibbling over bike v car and get into a Complete Streets mindset.

independence in the elderly, like kids, is a way to feel empowered and free that helps the aging process in positive ways… both young and old

rejecting democracy… on a 48-0 vote passing Complete Streets ordinance with years of public input on each specific project…

these last minute Prairie Doggers demanding we capitulate to them are the undemocratic ones

annoying that these folks invoke democracy when their tactics are anything but

their proposal is going to remove a lane of driving each way, narrow the road, and if drivers are freaked about hopping out of their car into a bike lane…. woof, a bus rolling by is scarier
