I can only hope that some other media group seizes the opportunity to pick up a huge amount of creative talent that will otherwise get squandered in Ellison’s fascist-adjacent media empire.

That goes hand-in-hand with another significant difficulty in generating interest in a general strike - Americans’ relative stability and comfort. If enough people cross that stability/comfort threshold, you get mass disruption. But that requires a lot of human suffering I’d rather head off.
