I understand anger at Trump's victory.
I understand the arguments to hold one's nose and vote for Kamala rather than abstaining.
I don't understand how people say "it was energizing and fun", "I love Kamala", "I love Biden too".
It's like a gross food challenge where you're scolded for not smiling

Look, it's certainly not conscious, but if it was, wouldn't it be ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE that they created a consciousness that a person can just force into a relationship, or can be told to pick targets to bomb, or will participate in planning violence against myself or others?

Frame from Koyaanisqatsi (1982) depicting cars driving down a four lane highway.
Frame from Koyaanisqatsi (1982) depicting a bunch of cocktail waitresses standing in front of a casino.
Frame from Koyaanisqatsi (1982) depicting a city with busy traffic at night with a skyscraper visible.
Frame from Koyaanisqatsi (1982) depicting a moon next to a skyscraper.
Just watched Koyaanisqatsi, it is actually incredible how much this film communicates just through striking visuals and through Philip Glass's wonderful music, one of the best edited films of all time and I can't wait to check out the other two films in this trilogy.

It's absolutely surreal how no one is talking about the Iran war in daily life. No one is discussing it and they seem oblivious. This conflict is spiraling and deteriorating in a way that it will substantially disrupt daily life for most of the world for the first time in decades.

Frida Kahlo is a famous disabled artist. Her art explores her disability. When she had the accident that disabled her, she painted from her bed in her casts. Many artists in history have been disabled. Many are now. You will not find them fighting to have AI take their creative process from them.

This reminds me of that Frankie Boyle joke about how Americans not only come to your country and kill your people, they also come back twenty years later to make a movie about how killing your people made their soldiers sad.

He literally does not say that he say he supports the Iranian people...
"Canada supports the United States acting", reads like support for the United States, because those are the words he used.
If it's pragmatic to prevent Trumps anger, as a priority over moral action, isn't that appeasement?
