I watched The Man Who Never Was (1956) this week, a film about Operation Mincemeat. Lovely to see William Russell in a small but important role (and in Cinemascope too!) as an RAF pilot who wins and breaks the heart of It's a Wonderful Life's Gloria Grahame.

Pete McTighe and prop maker James Sutton were there to talk about their work on 'Destination: Daleks', bringing along with them the Trion data beacon and the Fifth Doctor's new sonic screwdriver. Note the beige band near the top, with red piping to match the Doctor's coat.

I had a fantastic time yesterday at the BFI screening of the 'Warriors of the Deep' Special Edition (which is a *real* improvement). Janet, Peter, Sarah and Tara Ward were all on top form. Tara's memory of the welcoming atmosphere created by Peter did *not* go down well with Janet! #DoctorWho

Watched 'No Place for Jennifer' (1950) tonight, which was an enjoyable enough drama about the impact of divorce on a child and, more importantly, included a brief glimpse of the Euston Arch. Silly ending, though.
