I wonder how far Farage is willing to go for his far right American donors.

I think that’s a very reasonable assumption.

Here’s an idea for the asset rich.
Pay your taxes.
Stop rubbing your hands waiting for your elderly parents to die.

Well they must have been exceedingly generous with their donations to ministers.

The only survivors of a Reform government will be billionaires and cockroaches.

I don’t watch it anymore for this reason.

He’s too ready to play devils advocate rather than challenge imbeciles like Carole Malone.

It’s suspicious how many of our regulators are not fit for purpose.

Like the Audi RS6 owner who called Nick Ferrari.
Happy to pay for premium unleaded but less happy about any money going to the public purse.

When journalists dig and dig but can only find the same dirt, it makes me think, is that all you’ve got?

It’s all very reminiscent of Tory ministers being wheeled out to defend Johnson and Cummings.
So much for change!

Are these ministers not able to refuse to take part in defending the indefensible?
Could he not have told Starmer to go out and defend his own judgement.

This is one of the most irritating behaviours of politicians.
Do they seriously believe the public cannot see what they’re doing, and broadcasters need to stop it. If they continue to avoid answering the question, cut the interview.

Well there’s very little chance of a badger or hedgehog being implicated in a sex scandal, or selling sensitive financial information to a billionaire paedophile, so their reputations should remain intact.

If Mandelson had to be paid to go quietly, this raises even more questions.

All our politicians should get off X and engage with human beings.

It’s being used a lot by Farage at the moment.

The result of successive governments refusing to deal with the funding of social care.
They’d rather make false promises to cut tax than be honest with the electorate.

Yes, it strikes me, that Reform would have a more coherent position on Iran if its MPs spent some time together in the same country.

They should try dealing with the causes of the cost of living crisis rather than trying to mitigate the effects.

Here’s why governments will never act in the interests of the majority.

Last time someone tried an excuse that implausible, a new religion was born.

Same with children’s social care.

We need to call out bribery of politicians, it’s corruption and is working against the interests of the majority.

I think the problem here is that it pays off to ingratiate yourself with some very wrong people.
If a PM was forced to resign in disgrace, there should be a review into those granted honours.

And the boomers are turning 80 and soon will no longer exist as the block of voters that successive governments have had to please at the expense of younger generations.
Politicians will be forced to address an economy that has completely failed younger voters.

11.03.2026 10:07 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Great to hear someone from Labour articulate the problems.
However, actions that mitigate the cost of living are not enough.
We need radical policies to reverse the Tory policies of the 80s that have rigged the economy against young people.
Labour should be using its majority to implement them.

Unfortunately our media is predominantly a mess of nasty inadequacy and failure.
Farage has a free pass because he’s the man the billionaire media bosses want in number ten.

10.03.2026 14:34 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

He’s an abomination.
He and his enablers are the very worst of humanity.
I hope karma comes while he’s still alive to feel it.

10.03.2026 13:45 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

I guess with America, it’s fear of retaliation but the government’s position on Israel seems difficult to justify.
I understand there must be political reasons why they are still considered an ally but it feels wrong at the moment.
