Wuthering Heights - what to know before the movie
There is a lot of hype around this new movieβ¦ so, before you watch the adaptation, it helps to know what this book actually is (and what it isnβt).

Current read: Trad Wife by Sarah Langan and Iβm obsessed.
Only a quarter in and already hooked. Jenny is such a compelling protagonist, and the slow, creeping eeriness around Mia and Black Swan Farm is perfection.
Out May 26 ππ€

REVIEW
Catherine by Essie Fox is one of those rare novels that doesnβt just re-imagine a classic, it listens to it.
Catherineβs voice is beautiful and timeless.
Emily BrontΓ« would be very proud.

Curled up in my egg chair with #OurGiftedHearts by Jennifer Kennedy,
rain tapping above, birds singing to each other. The perfect autumn vibe π tender, emotional and quietly powerful so far.

πΎCAT LOVER by Dan SpencerπΎ
βYou invited him in. Now the claws come out.β
A darkly clever story told through Ivy, a lonely A&E doctor & her cat, Berry, whoβll do anything to protect her. Sharp, unsettling & full of bite.
Would your cat protect youβ¦or plot against you?πΌ

Working through my TBR shelves and finally reading those books that have waited far too long. Iβve stacked up some thriller-ish reads for spooky season π
Do you reach for horror this time of year, or prefer dark, twisty suspense? π

Goddess of love⦠or spinner of lies?
I adored Herc so Iβm thrilled Phoenicia Rogerson has a new story out! π
Zeus gave her riches. She gave him rebellion.
And she intends to win.

She loves your son. She wants your life. How far would you go to protect him?
Twisty, addictive thrillers like this are so my thing!
#qotd: Do you like your thrillers chilling & twisty, or fast-paced & dramatic?

Just finished Incidents Around The House on Audible π»
Loved hearing the story from the childβs POV β perfectly creepy in places. The ending worked but felt a bit too abrupt, which left me wanting more. Still, it lingers in your head after, and thatβs the mark of a good horror!
π€ Spellbound by bookmail! The First Witches: Women of Power in the Classical World by Alexis Hannah-Prescott (published 30 June 2025, @pensworldbooks) dives into Circe, Hecate & ancient witchy lore.
