Sadly, l know of several people with a similar story to mine. Meanwhile, Chickenpox continues to be regarded as a benign, risk-free childhood inconvenience. We don't even routinely vaccinate children against it, here, in the UK.
So can chickenpox in some individuals. I caught it aged 8. It triggered a post viral syndrome that almost killed me, 2 months in hospital, left me permanently disabled for life.
Whilst I’m not leaving X as yet, I would very much like to spend more time here.
