The president of the United States just declared war, actual military war, not a metaphorical one, on a major American city, and one governed by his political opponents.
In any other period, this would be impeachment-worthy.
This is how democracies die.
Step 1: Dislike the facts.
Step 2: Attack the fact-finders.
Step 3: Replace them with loyalists.
Step 4: Control the "truth."

Kristi Noem outrageously threatened to “liberate” Los Angeles from its freely-elected officials and THEN when Senator Padilla started asking her about it he was manhandled and handcuffed as he approached her.
So Kristi Noem goes on Fox and lies that Sen Padilla didn’t ID himself, even though the video is there for all to see. But get what she’s saying: Assaulting and handcuffing someone for trying to ask a question is OK in any case? This is a criminal regime.
IMPORTANT: Before the fascist attack on Senator Alex Padilla, Kristi Noem said that her gestapo in California were staying to "liberate the city socialist and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country."
Don't let that slide by.
There has long been zero fucking excuse for Senate Dems to cede the power they have to slow or stop that body’s work from proceeding and now there is less than zero

When you look at the list of institutions they want to defund: libraries, museums, the Smithsonian, public schools, PBS, NPR, archives, you can clearly see that the real threat to an authoritarian regime is an informed and educated public
