I was hired in BC, but we called it off. My husband (an engineer) couldn’t find a job and CUSMA doesn’t allow children 18-24 to have work permits. I wouldn’t make enough as a nurse to support everyone for the time it would take for non-Express Entry. So we are stuck in the US.
As a nurse immigrating to Canada, I avoided Alberta due to their politics and Ontario because it’s hard to get permanent residence there. Too many other provinces make it easier.
