As winter loosens its grip and the promise of spring begins to unfold, communities throughout British Columbia are coming together to celebrate Holi. Known as the Festival of Colours, Holi is an important Hindu holiday that marks the arrival of spring and celebrates the triumph of good over evil.
CMHA Vernon’s Youth Integrated Services Hub is seeing young parents who are struggling to care for their infants. Among the items needed are Baby wipes, Formula, Teething toys, Bottles/nipples, Vouchers for diapers. Items can be dropped off at 3304 30th Ave. youth@cmhavernon.ca

Coldest Night of the Year was a huge success. About 160 walkers hit the streets of Vernon to raise about $30,000 for the North Okanagan Rent Bank and housing stability for our neighbours. Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated and sponsored. We live in such a great community.

Today is Pink Shirt Day! Started in 2007 in Nova Scotia by a group of friends who wanted to take a stand against bullying, this day is a reminder to always choose kindness and be an advocate for others. The theme this year is "Sprinkle Kindness" - how can you sprinkle kindness into the day?
