I echo the person upthread who says you need to make a complaint, this is inappropriate.
I hope your mum is doing better now.

And lack of clarity in corporate communications is a barrier to access. What does this even mean? Are they saying this person has spent "too much" on entertainment? Who defines "too much" here?

There's nothing wrong with giving people spending insights, but it needs to be presented in a clear and non-judgemental way that is easy to understand.

Same. and I say this as someone who uses a budgeting app so I already know how much I spent on dining out and deliveries in 2025, but it's presented as a straightforward graph so I can make my own decisions on whether that's how I want to spend that money without feeling like I'm being judged.

depends where you live. In the UK, which is where Monzo is based, you can do it in a couple of clicks using the switching service. Your salary deposit and your outgoing Direct debit payments should automatically be transferred to the new bank and there's a compensation process if it doesn't.

I don't want twee bollocks from my bank, and nor do I want them nosing into my finances to this extent. This sort of end of year review would be inappropriate and unwelcome, especially in this sort of language.

And you can chuck it in the dishwasher. I don't do handwashing, everything goes in the dishwasher, that's why I bought it.

Oh good grief. The sort of clart where you end up two inches taller because of the amount of yuk your boots pick up.

Huntley dead, and the world is slightly less shit.

Don’t make a hero of his killer though. He’s already on a whole life sentence for three murders, including a five-month pregnant mother who he also raped.

Remember the victims of these foul men.

I'm torn on this. One the one hand, the State does have a duty of care towards prisoners, and this is murder. On the other hand, oh well.

While I understand historic sites are not the immediate concern when lives are at stake, there is still something particularly important about ancient sites of human culture that are almost greater than life, that once lost can never be replaced.
This is a very dangerous war for many reasons

A row of sculpted marble heads, seen in profile. The one closest to the camera is of a woman, with soft curls framing her face. The rest are further and further out of focus as you move away from the lens, due to the shallow depth of field used.

Two ancient and battered parish boundary stones, the oldest ones left in London. The one on the left is for St Clement Danes, and has an anchor carved into it. the one on the right is for St Dunstan's in the West, and has SDW carved into it.

I read it as you wielding the pan. It's important to remember to limber up and do your stretches beforehand.

nah, you just preheat before adding oil and food. I very rarely have anything stick.

I am no expert, but sitting and waiting to go into a canal, and then traversing it, (especially one with the big flights of locks needed) would just create a whole new and exciting set of vulnerabilities, no?

Things used in everyday life are the real archaeological treasures!

This sewing needle was made from animal bone some 13,000 years ago.

Some designs simply don't need to be improved, because form and functions were perfectly matched from the start

these are a very, very old design as well.
The ones on the right were dug up in Flag Fen, a neolithic settlement in England. This size, they were used for shearing sheep.
The ones on the left are mine and were originally my grandma's. They're for cutting thread.
