Did you know parts of our beautiful Lake Shore Campus used to be, simply, lake? In 1908, a seawall was constructed to extend the shore by the intersection of Devon and Sheridan. In 1989, Loyola University Chicago undertook an Erosion Protection Extension Project to secure the campus footprint.

Hi everybody, thanks for following! :-) Here's a photo from last week's class visit, Western Civilization to the 17th Century taught by Dr. René Luís Alvarez at Arrupe College. Along with viewing rare books, manuscripts, artifacts, and maps, the students got a behind-the-scenes tour of the archives.
