This is the most Tory post ever and quite possibly the tipping point to #cancelmymembership
NEW BRIDGE (over the River Lea).
Three in a row at work. Unbearable. Maybe I'll moonlight as the Oil Fairy.
I like how they've left the Underground roundel alone
The Guide is saddened to hear of the passing of beer writer Des de Moor.
He was generous in sharing his extensive knowledge of the London beer scene and it was always a pleasure to cross paths and compare notes.
RIP Des, the next beer is for you ๐ป
RIP John Virgo
Don't often watch STRENGTH AND DEPTH match of the day, but STRENGTH AND DEPTH glad to see the winning STRENGTH AND DEPTH formula is STRENGTH AND DEPTH unchanged.
Absolutely my thoughts on neck oil.
There are so many successful pubs that have zero cask ales. Latest visit was People's Park Tavern, Victoria park. Not even any bottles of brown stuff.
I feel let down... Maybe by the punters? By the craft beer scene? By publicans? Can't quite explain it. @boakandbailey.bsky.social

The worst bit about the end of a game of masters snooker is knowing that we'll then have to endure Rob Walker repeatedly slapping the winner's shoulder.
Cycling down to Screwfix, just saw my mate's stolen bike locked up to a tree (+ about 20 others).
Bolt cutters added to the order, bike recovered! ๐ฅ๐ค๐๐๐๐ฅ

Good news about all the other lines though.
Folly lane, just to the south of this, is another story. I'd encourage anyone to give it a visit. A flytipped dump that is quite an eye opener. You'd be hard pushed to find a worse place in the country.
Interesting cycle ride up to Wickes in Edmonton.
Looks like the Harbert road wasteland by the A406 (with the Lea running through it) is being landscaped as parkland.
Previously was a dump/pallet yard/fenced off no man's land.
It's beginning to look...nice!

That's a bakerloo line train. They're regularly heavily graffitied inside and out. March this year.
He doesn't hate the city. It's clarkson-esque bait, a joke, publicity, all in one. Nothing more. I'd ignore it.
