a poem, reading as follows: please bless the poor coyote who lives where we say she shouldn't nosing through the garbage piles that rot along the freeway please aid the stray coyote and keep her from the trapper's snare pray she sniffs out all the poison pray she lives to run away please guide the lost coyote bless and keep her as she wanders may she always come back home may it all turn out okay please feed this gaunt coyote may she carry a full litter of five to eight pups or more who live to raise their own one day pray for the sly coyote may she rest in sunny places and run in open fields and may she never want for prey please love the dear coyote who lived when we said she couldn't may all her years be kind to her may she go gently on her way

Marten: Dollie, we're so sorry about your egg. Seabird: *Sniff* It's ok. It wasn't fertilized or anything. I just worked hard on it and thought it might inspire your quest.
