The combination of Michael Bunting and Tyler Myers is a good deadline for Dallas. Kept their 2027 1st, and didn't trade any prospects or roster players. Team is deeper and better now. 21 games until the playoffs begin.

No Stars players on waivers today.
We asked Gulutzan about roster management today, and he said it’s still something they’re still figuring out.
The guess here is they’ll keep Hyry for tomorrow just in case Hintz can’t go and put a defenseman on waivers later today.
Gulutzan on Rantanen and Faksa:
“Both guys aren't going to be skating here for a couple days. Maybe 3 or 4 days for Mikko. maybe a little longer for Faks. We'll see how this all plays out.”
Hintz still expected to play tomorrow, but Gulutzan said it’s not certain yet.
Myers also not certain to play. Gulutzan said they may want to give him time to acclimate to new system, etc. TBD.
Gulutzan says Faksa is still not skating. Sounds like it could be a longer timeline than expected.
Only details he gave about Faksa is that there are “some lingering things going on there.”
Hyry didn’t go in first line rushes, then rotated in later. So he may be coming out tomorrow for Hintz.
Whether Hyry gets sent down or a defenseman put on waivers to open a roster spot for Hintz remains to be seen, but I’d expect the latter.

Tyler Myers said he and Jamie Benn ("Benny") have remained friends since playing together in juniors. Said they've spoken a bit more than usual over the last week, as you might imagine.
Tyler Myers said there were "three or four teams" that were his preferred destinations. One of them was Dallas.
"When we found out they had some mutual interest, we pushed hard to get it done."
Tyler Myers will wear #57 in Dallas. He's worn it ever since Buffalo's equipment staff gave it to him when he was a 19-year-old rookie in training camp, and he's stuck with it. Creature of habit.
