Second Printing details and cover art will follow.
Thanks to retailers and readers for the support!
One of the most influential publishers in the modern history of comics has left the company he helped found.
Mike Richardson out at Dark Horse after 40 years
Came across the animated promo for GREEN LANTERN: WILLWORLD that I've never seen (or even heard about) before. I would love to see this book back in print.
Seth Fisher was an extraordinary talent. Can you imagine what he'd be up to today? What a loss.

Itβs 10:10am on a wonderful New Comic Book Day morning at Acme Comics. Itβs DC K.O., itβs Narco and Nectar (2nd prints on the way donβt worry), itβs Absolute Flash and Superman, but really I think this is because itβs the first nice weather day of the year around here and people wanted to come out
I first met Moonstar in New Mutants Acts of Vengeance tie in back in 1988(?) I think. The other characters seem to like and trust her. And she has a flying horse sometimes soooβ¦..
DC K.O.'s conclusion has a lot of wow moments. Big moments, little art detail moments. It sticks a DC Comics brand landing for sure. And that's one massive set up it leaves us to think about until some unknown point in the future. If you sat this one out, rethink that and take this story in now.
I'm not really a Joker fan. He's best in small controlled doses when it comes to comics. But Batman 7 was immediately one of the best Joker stories I've read in a very long time. Loved the art & environment Jimenez created. And the way the characters spoke? 10/10 Buy. With. Confidence. Please!
It took fourteen issues, but the character on the Absolute Superman covers & variants has arrived. This series is quickly becoming a favorite now. Issue 17 shows all that Superman can be. A real symbol of hope, but also not at all to be trifled with. I hope Juan Ferreya remains on the art bench too.
Shoutout to the current JSA series, specifically the Year One story. @jefflemire171.bsky.social is doing all of the right things here. Hitting the marks I know/expect while also giving me all new stories. The covers & art are there. I'd love to see more people reading this & experiencing the JSA.
I'll admit I seriously wavered on Avengers. I'm not into an entire volume essentially being about one story despite appearances of storylines. But this final issue 36 kind of made it all worth while. This volume, this team. Karami makes some refreshing art composition & panel choices. Well done.
I like the character, but I know almost nothing about Dani Moonstar. I don't even know what her powers are. But this Moonstar 1 was surprisingly good. Whether you remember her from New Mutants or are just checking out current X-men series, this was a good one. Nice reaction to current Thor here too.
Retailers, note that @dougwagner13.bsky.social of Narco has built an interconnected if you want it to be library for you. If you have voracious "what do I read next" clientele like Acme Comics does, restock Plastic, Vinyl, Plus, I Was a Fashion School Serial Killer, along with Narco #1 2nd print.
I didn't think that Narco would be caught in the D'orc wave that impacted White Sky, but it looks like it has as a 2nd print was announced today. Get you preorders in on Image Comics. Preorders aren't the night before either. Look at the rest of March & tell your store what you expect to buy.
Ever read a comic where you don't want anything bad to happen, but you know it must? That's Narco. Daniel Hillyard draws nice folks (with a nod to Tradd Moore) so can't Marcus just have a nice time @dougwagner13.bsky.social? There's a chance the end isn't what it looks like so I'm in for issue 2!
She may have a role in the new mayoral cabinet now :O
Skinless Man 1 is outstanding. This is part of the Lands Unknown label at Dark Horse, but you don't have to know that. @benstenbeck.bsky.social has full mastery of Mignola-ism storytelling techniques. Plus, this has the craziest Werewolf fight I've seen to date. Buy with all confidence!
Nectar kind of is what it seems to be, but that isn't a bad thing. An unknown species of butterfly descends on a small town with a taste for blood which results in a very bizarre affliction. The era sets this apart. It really seems like a 70s horror movie, but could only be done in comics.
In a "where did that happen" moment that has to be reflected elsewhere soon Pamela Isley is Mayor of Gotham City! I've been away from the Poison Ivy series for a while, but picked back up with issue 42 & I'm glad I did! Vandal Savage's feet are finally held to fire. Pick it up to see what's up!
Check out the IMDB page. I can't believe Martin Short actually provided the voice. And Catherine O'Hara was there for thirteen episodes too? Jonathan Winters? Rene Auberjonois too? All the cartoon voiceover mainstays were there also. Did you watch this @kennethwreid.bsky.social?
In case you forgot, I give you the The Completely Mental Misadventures of Ed Grimley. So stupid, but I loved this cartoon. I can't be alone in that right? Classic 1988 Saturday morning fare!
Remember, DC K.O. is what happens next in the story that the DC All In Special began. It is part 2 of what DC is doing and begins the Next Level chapter for the DCU (and maybe more than that). So it isn't just another event story. If you see all five issues available Wednesday, sweep them!
Looks like you can lift it off the paper and transform it, doesn't it??
One of the greatest, Bruce Campbell, announcing he has cancer. Our hearts are with you Bruce, Hail to the King.
In time I do hope that I know exactly what you said! Learning these movies is a 2026 priority :)
I understood some of those words but all together I got nothing.
RIP legendary colorist Tatjana Wood.
You know her work, whether you realize it or not. An important talent. Having just stumbled through a rudimentary coloring job, her astonishing work only increases in my eyes.
Today marks 11 years without Leonard.
Iβll say what @robertkirkman.bsky.social already knows. We can all agree on one thing and thatβs the fact that Pole Position and M.A.S.K. 1000% exist in the same universe. Itβs right there from the vehicles down to the aggressively catchy theme songs.
