Very sorry to hear of the passing of Milwaukee writer/critic/reporter Dave Begel. I poked a lot of fun at Dave over the years, perhaps too much. We had a nice "sorry, no hard feelings" email exchange a few years ago, and for that I'm glad. R.I.P. Here we were in 2014.

Fantastic news

Parenting a tween is brutal stuff, but it's all worth it when said tween hears the phrase "Your ass is grass" for the first time and can't stop laughing.

Fascinated by the existence of the AARP Movies for Grownups Awards and the fact theyβre giving a Career Achievement Award to Adam Sandler.
I really loved every minute of the Winter Olympics. I found them fun, inspiring, and deeply moving. I totally bought into the βsport unites usβ thing. Wonderful stuff.
