Yes, Proton has a VPN. And, as others in this thread have stated, Proton isn't really the problem. In fact, Proton accepts cash. (As does other good VPN options, like Mulvad.) Using that option would have prevented payment info from being in Proton's systems, and available to the Swiss gov.
Worried about the feds getting your payment info from Proton?
Proton has free accounts, and accepts cash for paid tier accounts. π΅

I've been working toward this one for a while, very excited to share it!
The first time I tried it out I discovered it had all the software I needed for the project I was working on just ready to go - so thoughtful!

[deep sigh] Section 230 doesnβt immunize platforms for violations of federal criminal laws.
I am no friend of platforms. But Section 230 is key to enabling *usersβ* ability to freely impart and receive information. Look up any number of articles explaining the βmoderatorβs dilemma.β
Beauty is not in and of itself resistance and there are fascistic and police modes of beauty, but any beauty that falls outside the profitable, the ordained, the dominant is an affront to them, a fearful sign of a world without them

What a wonderful time. I walked a mile in like 20" of snow to my friend's apt in Davis where 30 people holed up all cozy, baking cookies and working from laptops. We went sledding the middle of the night. I did not see the Somerville Yeti, but he was out there.
Oops. Turns out Persona, Discordβs age-verification service, was secretly screening selfies against government watchlists AND accessible by the feds. It's backed by Peter Thiel.
