Definitely! Given how flimsy the connection to the original MotU was (basically just the names and the involvement of a magical sword), it would have worked so much better as a stand-alone thing.

Big fan of the line myself, I got the Spaceship Eternia, Nordor, and a few figures. Much like the cartoon, which was pretty cool, it should be regarded as a stand-alone thing, not as a sequel to the previous MotU.
