GET IN LIBERAL, WE'RE GOIN' WOKEMAPPING!
Agreed that was my favorite part. One post that stuck with me was one proposing that everybody on the planet jump right when the meteor hits.
The other was someone questioning the wisdom of sharing every personal detail online immediately followed by a guy saying he just took the biggest shit.
We're reupping this with a special announcement. Pete is going to be running canvassing out of the Brown County Democrats' office THIS Saturday at noon, and as always he needs volunteers to join in!

Ah yes. I thought Dairy Queen did it too at one point. Either way it's a pretty baldfaced way to do backdoor blacklisting.
Basically an agreement if the employee leaves the job they will be barred from working for any of the company's competitors for X amount of years.
It made sense for high-level jobs with access to trade secrets, but some places are making service workers sign them.
Washington state is about to ban noncompete agreements.
The state's House and Senate have both signed the bill, and it's headed to the governor's desk.
Washington would join a short list of states that prohibit almost all noncompetes.
The Democratic problem - if you look at recent polling - is that they are despised by their own voters who are also turning out in record numbers to vote for candidates. The entity "the Democrats" is associated with Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer so you can see why they're unpopular.
Genuinely heroic to come back under these circumstances
AOC came out swinging against age verification legislation and somehow the entire tech press seems to not have noticed?

this is the future liberals want
if a Democrat can't fully defend the trans community they should at least make their persecutors out to be weird freaks, not people with reasonable concerns
Fellow historian here. More employed? Maybe. Happier? Debatable.
bluesky being immediately negatively polarized into going with skeets because we were asked not to was the first sign that we were going to make it as a posting site
every true posting forum declares forever war against the mods
this is what we are fighting for, the same country that welcomed my family more than a hundred years ago and the same country that will serve as a refuge for generations more once we crush these bastards into the dirt
God bless America, this America
goddamn is this a breath of fresh air after Allred 2024
A problem following US politics on Bluesky is that once a week, Trump decides to inflict a massive wound on himself for no reason and Bsky insists that this is it, heβs finished this time, and then people get disappointed and act like heβs fine because heβs merely bleeding out with one limb left
You're the main reason I still see pony art in my feed. I appreciate every piece you boost.
please god
Now, what I WOULD like is for support for mass surveillance, online censorship, and being forced to give our personal data to Peter Thiel to stop being bipartisan consensus.
That's one of the few places Dems seem to agree with Repubs and in some cases want to go further.
βThere is no difference between the partiesβ is frankly one of the more blinkering articles of faith a lot of people hold. If you believed it, you couldnβt really believe Trump was gonna do what he was obviously gonna do

Jacked action hero with goon in headlock, in raspy yet firm voice:
And while they're at it, they can stop framing it as not restrictive ENOUGH and demanding even MORE surveillance and censorship.
[image of shadow the hedgehog holding his hog-gun, it has a caption] sorry i forgot about international women's day i simply didn't realize that it wasn't all year
and that goes for liberals willing to overlook Gaza as well by the way
"But I vas told ze Amerikaner sue each ozzer for EVERYTINK!"
Moderate Democrats with columns in newspapers are constantly saying the Democratic Party is way too liberal on "social" issues. Moderate Democratic voters in real life do not feel this way. With some polling data from @gelliottmorris.com and @dataforprogress.org. newrepublic.com/article/2074...
If you get into a βwho can cut taxes moreβ battle with the GOP, youβre going to lose because they are far more shameless and antagonistic to the idea of living in a functioning society.
Donβt concede to their framing that taxes are nothing but a problem to be solved.
