Raven's sword becomes part of the story. She thinks the blacksmith did it like that because she can't hold a large sword like the other Elves, but there's other reasons for it as well.

I'm home by myself all weekend. I should be doing the last re-reads of The Kings Raven today and tomorrow, if I don't get distracted or stressed. Fingers crossed I can stay calm and there won't be a need for more counting, just the usual.
