➡️ Wahl fully intends to strip libraries of funding for not complying, saying that librarians are "bad actors" and "acting in bad faith."
➡️ This creates further chaos for librarians who will have to change their systems with no solid guidance.
➡️ Despite this being cost-prohibitive for many small libraries, particularly those in rural areas of Alabama, no additional funding has been provided. This means our most vulnerable libraries may lose critical funding and be forced to close.
➡️ This would have negative effects on advanced readers and teens, who often must access the general adult collection for school work.
