I recently switched to Waterfox, which is Firefox but without the AI crap built in. It's based on the same open source code with a few modifications for that and better privacy.

Am I missing something or is Picarto basically just Twitch but better? The only downside I can see is a smaller userbase, but I haven't spent much time on Twitch so I'd like to hear more informed opinions.

Picking the next song to finish is gonna be hard, because most of my candidates are even less developed than the half-written song from 10 years ago. I might not do vocals on all of these, mostly because writing decent lyrics on a deadline every month sounds crazy hard.

The job market scares the fuck out of me, and I'm convinced this is the best possible time to say "fuck you" to traditional employers and team up with good people to start small businesses that suck less.
To be fair my firsthand experience with AI coding assistance was very brief and I certainly haven't tried the latest and greatest. I'm also just sick of all the AI hype and societal harms that go with it, so I have a negative default outlook toward all of it.
I've been baffled as to how some developers seem to actually find it useful. Even if AI code isn't broken in obvious ways, anything that isn't trivially simple will likely have issues that are harder to find because LLMs specialize in *looking* correct even when they're not

I'm VERY curious how many of these ridiculous bugs are actually in AI code. It's not like they never shipped badly broken updates before gen AI, but the frequency lately seems a bit much to be a coincidence.
