This is wonderful news, Larry! We're huge Frank Perry fans and it's next to impossible to see a decent print of Last Summer. Glad they finally restored it.
As much as we love Pialat's films, we've never seen his heralded 1971 mini-series that's set during WW1, La maison des bois. Thankfully, beginning April 22nd, @filmlinc.bsky.social will be screening the new Janus Films 4K restoration! Hooray!

We chat about this all of the time. We're fairly certain that this is the only country that hangs the word, "emotional" on folks. Sometimes you get mad, sometimes you get sad, sometimes you're happy. You're "emotional." We say, "Keep calm and carry on....Suck it!"
Today, Tues. 3/3 at 7PM, the NY Comics and Picture-story Symposium is celebrating Will Eisner! Danny Fingeroth will be moderating a panel featuring: Karen Green, Dean Haspiel, Arie Kaplan, and Charles Kochman! Free for all! Signup info:

Rest in peace to one of the most underrated producers in Jamaican music history, Phil Pratt. Over the many years on our radio show, we spotlit many of Pratt's labels, including his Sounds United imprint, which we did back in 2015. Thank you, Phil π

Humanity can move to achieve the impossible
Because when you've achieved one impossible others
Come together to be with their brother, the first impossible
Borrowed from the rim of the myth
Happy Space Age to you..."

We don't know of any unfortunately, but we have to show you this... Here is the great Satyajit Ray's beautiful original hand-drawn poster for his 1970 feature, Days and Nights in the Forest. A new 4K restoration opens at Film Forum on 2/27.
Rest in peace, Tom Noonan π A terrific actor and indie filmmaker. It's ironic that Tom died on Valentine's Day, as his 1994 masterwork, What Happened Was... which he wrote, directed, and starred in, is easily the most painfully uncomfortable first date film ever made.
