#31Days2025 5: Demons. TBH I've never been much of a fan of Lamberto Bava. Or his Dad, Mario. I know how important they are in Italian cinema & I give them all the credit in the world for making it what it is, but I’ve never been able to get into their movies as much as I feel like I should.

#31Days2025 4: Stagefright. Michele Soavi's Dellamorte Dellamore (coming up later this month) is one of my all time favorite pieces of Italian cinema. I think this is my 2nd favorite from him.
And since we’re partying anyway, there will be free cake at the fest, and a costume contest!

This year's theme: Parmesan. The Italians made so many crazy, wonderful movies in the 70s & 80s 🇮🇹 Many were my favorite horror subgenre, the giallo. Others were made for the international market based on whatever was popular in the US, so I'll have knock-offs, too, including post-apocalyptic tales.
I try to do 31 Days of Horror every October, & have been for many years with rules! I choose a theme then plan my list following these rules: movie must fit the theme (& be horror/horror-adjacent), I can't have watched it during last year's 31 Days, & I have to have a copy of it on physical media.
The next HORRIDfying Film Fest is coming May 4th and we’re showing Leatherface’s Lost Film!
Man, Monolith:Yellow smells so delicious out of the fermenter! Made some M:Y bulk for @monolithbrewingco and then made a 3 gallon batch of @horridmag ‘s Nightmare Sauce - coming in 2 weeks! Nightmare Sauce is blood orange, blackberry, red jalapeño, habanero, and garlic.
