🚨All of you scientists submitting grants & papers: don't make me have to blow up your figures on my 43inch monitor to try to decipher your data! Even when it is magnified I can barely read details because the PDFs have no resolution. RULE #1 for grants and papers....don't piss off your reviewer!

This middle part of the thread points to specific examples of potential/ongoing automation of ideology-driven evaluation, i.e., using tools to screen for alignment with administration priorities. There are significant implications here for oversight of what is unfolding with NIH grants & reviews.

Sen. Whitehouse to uncover connections between Trump, Russia, and Epstein. YouTube video by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse

Good speech. Most US press got bamboozled by Bill Barr's scheme. Trump's collusion with Russia was always real, continues to be. www.youtube.com/live/ylvTFvJ...

Thanks I need it as a reference set and I'm lazy to do it myself if it already exists. My pathology friends like H&E over cresyl violet for some reason.

This 🧡thread made my day: fun adventure in the midst of ongoing terrible news. Keep us posted! As an aside - a small plastic bear and small dinosaur have spent the last 4 years finding every hiding place possible in our kitchen at home. As one person finds them they are rehidden. Great family fun.

Question for 🐁🧠πŸ§ͺπŸ”¬ people. Is there an online atlas for H&E stained mouse brain (NOT cresyl violet staining)? Extra points if it includes cerebellum. Extra extra points if there are developmental stages included. Thanks everyone.

WAR CRIME BY THE US.

An unarmed Iranian ship was takIng part in an Indian naval exercise, alongside the US.

The US withdrew and torpedoed the Iranian ship.

THEN the US refused to rescue the sailors, letting them drown.

This is treachery, cowardice, cruelty and a war crime of the highest order.

I was thinking the same thing. Totally unethical. Totally horrifying. Further, what did they do to get the embryos to edit? Superovulate which females? How many female elephants have they "used"?

An entire 5-year R01 grant costs ~$2.8 million

We could fund 357 of the premier research programs in the world for half a decade with the money being wasted every day on this treasonous war.

Classifying pediatric brain tumors by liquid biopsy using artificial intelligence See how M-PACT, an AI-powered algorithm can sift through ctDNA in cerebrospinal fluid and molecularly classify tumors based on their DNA methylation pattern

The Northcott group introduced M-PACT, a next-generation AI classifier using DNA methylation from liquid biopsies.
M-PACT overcomes challenges arising from low levels of DNA for accurate classification and monitoring of tumor microenvironment and evolution. #NatureCancer
